Winton builds a family of CNC roll benders for production. These machines are used to form large multi radius bends in a single work piece. Depending on the machine, tube sizes range from 1mm to 50mm. Some industries that utilize this technology are playground equipment to Automotive, Oil & Gas, and Heat pumps. Being able to form tubular coils quickly for each of these markets is important to keeping cost of goods sold in line. This is where equipment built by Winton makes a difference. We build tube bending equipment to make the bends prior to coiling, the machines to form coils themselves (multi layers), and the tube benders to make the 90° bends after the coils have been formed. The answer is simple; to transfer heat. A tube bent into a shape of a serpentine allows an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to extract heat from one environment and transport that heat to another area. For example, a refrigerator has heat energy contained within the products that a user wants to keep cool. Product examples may include milk, meat, or even butter. The goal of a refrigeration system is to extract the heat out of the refrigerated products. A tube bent in the shape of a serpentine is an efficient solution to help extract this heat.
A serpentine profile is an efficient way to maximize the amount of surface area (and thus refrigerant) needed for heat transfer given a limited amount of space. Being that a serpentine profile is most often one continuous bent tube, by default the number of connections is limited to two (the two ends) thus reducing an OEMs warranty costs.
Winton Machine builds all types of rotary draw tube bending machines. With or without a mandrel, these machines make precision bends in a single work piece. Rotary draw tube bending utilizes tooling or “die sets” which have a constant center line radius (CLR). Rotary draw benders can be programmable to store multiple bend jobs with varying degrees of bending.
CNC rotary draw bending machines can be very complex and use sophisticated tooling to produce severe bends with high quality requirements. The complete tooling is required only for high-precision bending of difficult-to-bend tubes with relatively large OD/t (diameter/thickness) ratio and relatively small ratio between the mean bending radius Rm and OD
Manufacturers who bend tubing using the same process day in and day out are often searching for faster and more efficient tube bending machines that are capable of producing precision bent tubes.
Daily applications range from aerospace to medical devices to children’s toys. Flexibility is often needed to form these parts when the bending process is the last step in an assembly process. Flexibility also includes quick die changes to accommodate different diameter tubing and constantly changing bend radii. A vertical compression bender fits the profile.
Winton offers a line of high speed vertical compresson benders. These machines are designed to get the maximum number of parts off the floor per day.
Winton offers several CNC controlled tube cut-to-length machines all designed to cut consecutive precision parts. As part of Winton’s committment to constantly improve we’ve implemented additional features and benefits to our CNC Cutting machines. In 2018, we enhanced the quality of our cut head based on our customer’s feedback and to meet additional customer requirements. The series of types of cuts include chipless, carbide saw blade, and abrasive. The Wet abrasive cutting machine can also cut a variety of hard metals.
There is an easy solution to this common problem. Use a dedicated and Winton engineered measuring device to measure bent tubes, semi-rigid coax and/or sheetmetal. All models provide a high resolution encoder coupled to a dynamic arm that measures a bend angle – with precision.

Winton Machine offers several standard hand coax benders for semi-rigid cable. Each hand tool is machined from tool steel and assembled for a smooth bending action that will not scratch the cable’s jacket. All coax benders are designed and tested in house. We use standard purchased components to build every coax bending machine. We at Winton are proud of the quality of every coax bender sold. Please, call us today and ask how the quality of the tube bending machines we build will translate into quality bent tubing on your shop floor.
Our fully automated tube fabrication systems are designed for high-volume production. Winton can take your existing fabrication operation and combine several steps into a single fabrication operation. This is accompllished via a transfer type machne that moves a tube thru a series of specific manufacturing processes. These engineered systems can reduce production costs while improving your quality for more consistant parts production. All design and manufacturing is performed in our Georgia facility.
Sometimes focusing on the tube’s function rather than the forming method can lead you to select an end forming method that optimizes the part cost, particularly if the opportunity involves a new part. The ways to form the tube end boil down to a few basic methods, so understanding their capabilities and limitations is critical to selecting the best process for a particular part. Thinking about creative ways to employ the process can help to improve product performance and reduce process cost.End Forming starts with understanding and narrowing down the tube end foming process. Are you going to need to use ram or segmented tooling. Your tooling choices help form the ID, the OD, or both; and the operation can be manual or CNC. Understanding the processes and their capabilities are the keys to choosing the best one for your application.
All tube straighteners are designed and tested in house. We use standard purchased components to build every machine. We at Winton are proud of the quality of every tube straightener delivered. Please, call us today and ask how the quality of the tube fabricating machines we build will translate into quality tubular parts on your shop floor. The M Series power straighteners are designed to straighten copper or aluminum tubing.
Winton’s CB50 CNC tube bender is designed to make consecutive CW and/or CCW bends in a single work piece. An XY servo controlled head shifter positions the bend head in the correct orientation with respect to the material being bent. Therefore, the material being bent only moves in a horizontal plane towards the bend tooling and never up or down. This is important when bending extrusions.
The CX6 CNC coax cable bending machine is built to bend semi-rigid coax cable. Production ready, with or without as a manual saw, this bench top, all electric coax bender, is microprocessor controlled. A keypad and display are standard and provide an easy way for the user to program a cable quickly. This coax cable bender comes standard as a single radius CNC bender. The CX6 can bend semi-rigid or flexible coax with or without connectors.
The CTL-6S is an automatic saw that comes standard with programmable part quantity and programmable cut length (in/mm). 80 psi shop air ensures that the tube is clamped during the cutting process. A material low indicator is used to sense the end of the material and alerts the user to load the next straight length for processing. The software doesn’t miss a beat, keeping track of the number of parts cut as a new straight length is loaded into the machine
